The Case study on 1 case of patients with Ruptured Intervertebral Lumber Disc, treated with Korean medicine

Abstract
|
|
|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effects of korean medicine on patient with ruptured intervertebral lumber disc.
Methods: The patient who had ruptured intervertebral lumber disc caused by out-car accident were treated by korean medicine such as acupuncture herb medication bee venom and moxibustion. We evaluated the results of treatments by change of symptoms, L-spine MRl, ODI, vAS score.
Results: 1. After korean medicine, the patient could reduce pains and have normal daily life. 2. After korean medicine, ODI, VAS score were improved and L-spine MRI was changed more positive condition.
Conclusion: This study shows that korean medicine has effects on patient with ruptured intervertebral lumber disc. And ODI, VAS score. L-spine MRI change would be valid measurement to evaluate the effects of treatments for ruptured intervertebral lumber disc
